BRC Dog Costume Contest & Movie Night!

Please join us for this all new fun BRC summer event! The BRC Dog Costume Contest benefiting our local Happy Tails Animal Shelter is scheduled for June 8, 2019 at the Brackenridge Park & Campground! Registration will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Brackenridge Park Basketball Court with the contest starting at 6:00 p.m.! There will be 3 different costume categories: Owner/Dog Costume Duo, Most Creative Costume, and Funniest Costume! Medals will be awarded to 1st-3rd place in each category. The 1st place winner in each category will then compete for the Top Dog Grand Prize! The Top Dog Grand Prize winner will receive a trophy and a basket of goodies! All participating dogs will walk away with a bag of dog treats! Instead of a registration fee per entry, we are asking all participants to bring a donated item for the local animal shelter from the list below. All items will be donated to the Happy Tails Animal Shelter at the end of the event. Pet owners should break out their most daring, hilarious, and creative pet costumes to parade in front of our panel of judges. No costume is “too much”! What better way to spend National Best Friend Day than with your fur child?! After the contest concludes, we encourage everyone to stay for a “dog themed” Movie Night Under the Stars starting at 8:30 p.m.! Concessions will be available for purchase during the event. A special thank you goes out to Arenosa Kennels and Pom Pom Poodles Pet Grooming for donating items for the Top Dog Grand Prize Basket!
