Enjoy a self-guided kayak adventure on Lake Texana. We
currently have 4 kayaks that can accommodate 1-2 people at a time. We provide life
jackets ranging in size from child to adult super large. Visit the Texana Community
Education Center during business hours to begin your kayaking journey!
Rental Guidelines:
• Rentals are $18 per hour.
• Renter must be 18 years of age or older.
• A credit or debit card must be used for rental. Cash or checks are not accepted.
• Rates are determined on an hourly basis with a one-hour minimum. We collect the amount predetermined by the designated hours up front and any additional time is charged when you return.
Things to Know:
• Rentals are on a first-come first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.
• All kayaks are to be used only at the Brackenridge Recreation Complex.
• All kayaks must be returned by dusk as overnight rentals are not allowed.
Safety:
• Kayak riders under the age of 13 must wear a fitted life jacket and be accompanied by an adult.
• Kayak riders ages 13-17 may ride alone but adult supervision is required. There is no lifeguard on duty.
• Remember, water conditions may change rapidly.
